Old Mout is a New Zealand fruit cider brand founded in 1947 by Wanda Tait in the Moutere Valley, Nelson, now owned by Heineken and producing an alcohol-free cider lineup since 2018.

The brand name rhymes with "fruit" and is drawn directly from the valley where Wanda Tait first made cider. Old Mout's identity is built around exotic, fruit-led flavour combinations inspired by New Zealand's natural landscape, a character that carries through from the full-strength portfolio into the AF range. Heineken acquired the brand in 2012 as part of its purchase of Asia Pacific Breweries and launched it into international markets in 2014. The first alcohol-free fruit cider followed in 2018, with a further flavour variant added in 2019.

All AF variants use natural flavours and carry gluten-free and vegan-friendly certification. Distribution for the alcohol-free range runs through specialist alcohol-free retailers, giving it a narrower footprint than the full-strength portfolio's mainstream supermarket presence. Since 2018, Old Mout has maintained a formal partnership with WWF to protect the kiwi bird's natural habitat, a conservation commitment unusual in the cider category and central to the brand's public identity.

Old Mout's AF lineup occupies a well-defined position in the specialist sober-curious market: a fruit-forward cider with traceable New Zealand origins from 1947, backed by the production infrastructure of a major international brewer. The brand's environmental partnership with WWF adds a dimension that differentiates it within a specialist AF cider segment that mostly lacks mid-twentieth-century heritage.
