Sentia Spirits

The brand was born from the research of GABA Labs, the company that owns and developed it, and launched commercially in 2021. Professor Nutt, a co-founder of GABA Labs, led the scientific programme alongside a team of botanists and neuroscientists. The products are backed by decades of neuropsychopharmacological research and are classified as botanical food supplements rather than conventional alcohol-free drinks. All products contain zero alcohol.

Each product is built around a proprietary blend of botanicals designed to enhance the brain's naturally occurring GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid, a neurotransmitter linked to relaxation and calm). The blend uses two types of active ingredient: GABA enhancers, which increase the effectiveness of the brain's natural GABA, and bio-enhancers, which support absorption from the gut into the bloodstream and across the blood-brain barrier. Botanicals across the range include ashwagandha, tulsi leaf, hawthorn berry, lemon balm, ginseng, schisandra, magnolia bark and sage, alongside Vitamin B1. The ingredients are all-natural.

The range spans functional spirits, beers and a cider. The cider is identified as the world's first 0.5% ABV functional cider. One drink in the range has won awards. The spirits are built for mixing, making them suitable for use in alcohol-free cocktails as well as on their own.
