9 Meadows

9 Meadows is a Swiss non-alcoholic spirits brand founded in Pfäffikon by a group of friends who wanted something better than what was available in the alcohol-free spirits market. The premise is straightforward: botanical distillates using Swiss-grown ingredients, traditional copper pot distillation, and clean Swiss water, with no artificial flavours and no added sugar. The brand launched in 2021 and expanded its distribution to the UK in 2024.

The range currently runs to five expressions, each built around a distinct botanical character. Alpine Sky is juniper-forward with blackcurrant and lavender, an obvious candidate for gin-style serves. Citrus Fields goes in a cleaner direction, lemon-led with elderflower and chamomile, well-suited to long drinks. Morning Forest is the most unusual of the core range, a herbal and piney distillate with mint, closer to the Scandinavian end of the botanical spectrum. The two newer additions, Bitter Grove and Summer Sunset, bring an Italian aperitivo influence with blood orange, gentian and rhubarb, designed for spritz-style mixing.

All products sit below 0.5% ABV as a result of the distillation process rather than as a deliberate addition of alcohol. The bottles are made from fully recycled glass. The brand also supports FREETHEBEES, a Swiss non-profit working on wild bee conservation.

The UK range is sold online through specialist retailers. It occupies a niche within a niche: premium Alpine botanical spirits for a market already comfortable with non-alcoholic alternatives.
