Girls That Grain
Girls Who Grain is the beer arm of Girls Who Grind Coffee, a Warminster-based specialty roastery founded in 2017 by Casey LaLonde. The coffee business was built on a single principle: source exclusively from women producers, who make up the majority of the coffee farming workforce but rarely receive the financial rewards. The beer brand extends that philosophy to brewing.
The flagship product is Oh My Goth, an alcohol-free coffee stout. It uses Girls Who Grind Coffee beans alongside hops and vanilla, and is brewed at a women-owned brewery. The entire supply chain is built around women growers, makers, and producers, which gives the brand a coherence that goes beyond marketing copy.
Oh My Goth is gluten-free and vegan, with a low calorie count. As a stout, it sits in a different lane to most AF beers on the market, which tend toward the pale lager end of the spectrum. The coffee character is genuine rather than a background note, which makes sense given where the coffee comes from.
The brand is new to the alcohol-free market and the range is small. Wholesale and retail listings are still building. For drinkers who want an AF beer that comes with a credible ethical story and delivers something genuinely different in the glass, it's worth tracking.
