Ronsin is a Spanish alcohol-free rum alternative produced by Industrias Espadafor, a Granada-based beverage company with roots stretching back to the 1930s. Founded by Juan Espadafor in that decade, the business originally produced local wines before the second generation pivoted the company entirely to alcohol-free beverages in the 1970s, making Espadafor one of the earliest industrial producers to specialise in the category.

Ronsin sits within that heritage as a blended spirit alternative built around molasses and oak wood extract, designed to replicate the aromatic and flavour profile of cane spirit. The product has never been fermented: rather than brewing at full strength and removing alcohol afterwards, Ronsin is produced from the outset without fermentation, giving it a distinct production approach from dealcoholised alternatives. The result is a sweet, woody drink with molasses and oak character, positioned primarily as a mixer for sober-curious drinkers who want to recreate classic rum-based serves.

Ronsin is part of a broader portfolio of alcohol-free spirit alternatives from Espadafor, which also produces gin and whisky counterparts under separate brand names. Industrias Espadafor distributes across more than 50 countries, giving Ronsin an international footprint unusual for a brand at a value price point. Available through specialist alcohol-free retailers, its decades-long presence in the AF space gives it a provenance few newer entrants can match.
