Sea Arch started with a frustration. Sarah and Geoff Yates were running a wine bar in Torquay when they kept seeing customers ask for alcohol-free alternatives and coming up empty. Geoff, a professional pastry chef by background, began experimenting with botanicals in their kitchen. Six to eight months of development later, in 2018, they had something worth launching.

The brand is named after a natural stone arch formation off the South Devon coast, and the coastal identity runs through everything: the flagship spirit, Coastal Juniper, includes hand-harvested sugar kelp and samphire alongside more conventional gin-adjacent botanicals like juniper, blood orange, cardamom, and coriander. The marine blue bottles and sand-textured labels reinforce the connection. Packaging is sustainability-focused, with recyclable and compostable materials and solvent-free inks.

Sea Arch uses both steam and copper-pot distillation. The result is a distilled non-alcoholic spirit rather than a flavoured cordial, which gives it a texture and complexity that works well in a long drink. The range also includes Sea & T ready-to-drink cans, pre-mixed with tonic, which have become a solid option for on-the-go occasions.

The brand has grown well beyond its Devon origins, now exporting to the UAE and Australia, and is distributed in the UK through specialist retailers and hospitality. Sea Arch also supports The Seahorse Trust, a conservation charity working near the stretch of coast that inspired the brand name.
