The Yateses brought direct hospitality experience to the project, having previously owned a wine bar in Torquay. That background shaped their goal of producing a sophisticated AF alternative for sober-curious adults who found existing options too sugary or underdeveloped. Sea Arch operates as a small, independent, family-run micro-producer, and the brand's identity is rooted firmly in its coastal surroundings.

The core botanical spirit is made using traditional distillation followed by gentle removal of the alcohol, a process in which the spirit is produced at full strength before having its alcohol content extracted (known as dealcoholisation). What gives the range a genuinely distinct character is the use of hand-harvested sugar kelp and samphire sourced from the Devon coastline, alongside conventional botanicals such as juniper, cardamom, and coriander. These coastal ingredients set Sea Arch apart within the broader AF botanical spirit category.

The range extends beyond the core spirit to include a selection of pre-mixed canned RTD cocktails, formats launched in 2020. The brand also uses plastic-free packaging throughout, with recycled cardboard for outer packaging and solvent-free paints on its bottles.

Distribution runs across direct-to-consumer via the brand's own website, specialist alcohol-free retailers, and high-end hospitality venues. Sea Arch sits in the premium bracket, and the narrow specialist footprint reflects its identity as a considered, small-batch producer. The coastal botanical angle, built around ingredients drawn from the surrounding Devon shoreline, gives the brand a regional specificity rarely found in the AF spirits category.
