BOAR
BOAR is a gin distillery based in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach in the Black Forest region of Germany, with a production tradition at the same Renchtal valley site dating back to 1844. The family-owned operation has accumulated six generations of distilling knowledge and is led today by managing directors Markus Kessler and Hannes Schmidt.
Gin is produced by hand in small batches, using water from the distillery's own mountain spring, a source of mineral-rich deep spring water drawn from beneath the Black Forest. The botanical recipe includes juniper, lemon, lavender, and thyme, with Black Forest Burgundy truffle incorporated as an additional botanical, harmonised and refined into the spirit during production.
BOAR also produces an alcohol-free gin, extending the range to sober-curious drinkers and those who avoid alcohol. One of the brand's drinks has picked up awards.
