Four Winds Brewing
Four Winds Brewing makes craft beer and cider from Delta, British Columbia, where it opened on June 1, 2013, as the first craft brewery in the city. The brewery was originally conceived in a boat-building shop and built from the ground up by the Mills family, with Greg Mills and Adam Mills among its co-founders. Focused on bold West Coast and European-style beers, Four Winds joined British Columbia's expanding craft beer scene, and its range includes an alcohol-free beer alongside the core lineup.
The brewing approach draws on a range of techniques. Some beers incorporate Brettanomyces, a wild yeast used to add character to the finished beer. Certain releases are bottle-conditioned, and some are brewed with elderflower and local honey. A farmhouse ale aged on Pinot Noir grapes brings a winemaking influence to the portfolio. One of the brewery's drinks has picked up an award.
Four Winds produces in cans, bottles, and on draft, and is owned and operated by the Mills family. The brewery runs two venues in the Delta area: a Beach House in Tsawwassen and a Taproom & Taco Shop in Tilbury. A further brewery and restaurant is planned for Tsawwassen's Southlands. The brewery also maintains a beer club for regular customers.
