Tool Shed Brewing

The brewery's origin is unusually literal. Two friends with backgrounds in IT and satellite communications began brewing beer in a backyard tool shed as a hobby. The technical precision from careers in high-technology fields carried through into the brewery, with the same methodical attention applied to recipe development and production. What started as a weekend project scaled into a substantial commercial operation in northeast Calgary, with the expanded facility housing both production capacity and a taproom.

Tool Shed Brewing entered the AF beer category in 2022. The first alcohol-free offering was developed as a direct counterpart to the brewery's best-selling flagship ale, adapting the original recipe to produce a sub-0.5% version that follows the same flavour profile as the full-strength beer it was modelled on.

The AF range suits fitness-focused drinkers who want a recognisable craft beer without alcohol, produced by a brewery with genuine craft credentials and a solid track record in northeast Calgary.
