Törley is Hungary's leading sparkling wine producer, founded in 1882 in Budafok, Budapest, when József Törley moved his factory from Reims. He had been born in Szabadka and learned the art of champagne-making in the Reims area before noticing the similarity of the Etyek wine region to Champagne country and relocating his operation to Hungary. The business was formally registered on 1 August 1882 under the name Törley József és Társa. The brand today includes an alcohol-free sparkling wine produced by low-temperature distillation to remove the alcohol, and one of its drinks has picked up awards.

Törley uses both the méthode traditionelle, the traditional champagne production method, and the Charmat process. The cellars in Budafok run through a 12-kilometre winding system, and the range spans more than sixty types of sparkling wine. By 1898 to 1899 the factory was the largest sparkling wine operation in the Austro-Hungarian Empire; production reached one million bottles by 1905, and today between 12 and 14 million bottles leave the Budafok facility each year. Törley holds close to 50% of Hungary's domestic sparkling wine market.

Törley introduced refrigerative degorgement to Hungary and operates a museum at the Budafok site. A second factory was established on Anna Street in 1890. The brand was nationalised in 1949, with production restarting in 1951; since 1992 Törley has been owned by Henkell & Söhnlein Hungaria Kft, part of the German Henkell & Söhnlein Sektkellerei AG group. Törley is also the market-leading sparkling wine brand in Estonia.
