ShinDigger
ShinDigger is a Manchester craft brewery founded in 2013 by Paul and George, two students at Manchester University who started selling home-brew at house parties. The venture launched with a £10,000 government loan for young entrepreneurs.
The brewery develops its recipes on a pilot kit at its Manchester headquarters, then produces them at three partner breweries across the North-West of England, a model it calls shadow brewing. Beers leave production only lightly filtered, carry a hazy appearance, and are shipped shortly after packaging.
ShinDigger specialises in session beers and has released more than 40 beers since launch. Its alcohol-free output takes the same hop-forward pale ale style that defines the wider range. With a team of 12, the brewery produces 1.4 million pints per year and ranks among Manchester's largest, serving weeknight drinkers and those who want full beer character without the alcohol.
