Alefarm
Alefarm is a family-run craft brewery founded in 2015, based in Greve, south of Copenhagen, with an alcohol-free range produced alongside a wider output of modern hoppy ales, farmhouse ales, and stouts.
The brewery was originally established in St. Salby, on the border of Køge, before relocating to Greve. Kasper Tidemann and Britt van Slyck run the business, which operates at microbrewery scale with a tech-driven approach to production.
The brewery produces spontaneously fermented beers, in which the wort is exposed to wild ambient yeast and bacteria rather than a single cultivated strain. A sour programme fermented with a mixed house culture runs alongside, producing beers distinct from the spontaneous strand. Mixed-fermentation wild ales and barrel-aged beers are also part of the output, alongside clean, unfiltered ales and full-bodied beers. Farmhouse ales and modern hoppy styles complete the main range.
A taproom at the Greve site gives drinkers direct access to the range. The alcohol-free beers are also available through specialist alcohol-free retailers and the brand's own online shop, a practical option for sober-curious drinkers and those choosing to drink less.
