Alken-Maes
Alken-Maes is a brewing company based in Mechelen, formed in 1988 from older breweries, and its range includes alcohol-free lagers. Its roots go back to 1880, when Egied and Nicko Maes acquired the forerunner of Brouwerij Maes.
Since 2019 the company has brought together breweries in Alken, Opwijk and Kobbegem, a cidrerie in Aubel and a maltings in Puurs-St-Amands, making beers and ciders. Alken-Maes is owned by the HEINEKEN Group.
