Banks Botanicals
Banks Botanicals is an alcohol-free spirits brand based in Healesville in Victoria's Yarra Valley, Australia, founded in 2021 by Brian Cohen, Yolanda Uys, and Frank de Palma with the aim of giving sober-curious drinkers a zero-ABV option that does not compromise on taste.
The spirits are distilled, with each of the five native Australian botanicals processed individually. The range draws on lemon myrtle, lime, cassia, pepperberry, and wattleseed, all 100% locally sourced from within Victoria. Limes are processed using vapour infusion, a technique in which the botanical's flavours are carried into the spirit through steam rather than by direct soaking in liquid. The pepperberries are hand-harvested in Tasmania. Yarra Valley water is used throughout production.
Alongside a line of alcohol-free distilled spirits, Banks Botanicals produces ready-to-drink cocktails, and several of its drinks have won awards. The brand exports to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Fiji, and the Middle East. Banks Botanicals has since been acquired by Alchemy Distillers.
