Basqueland

Patricio relocated to the Basque Country from New York, where he had worked as a chef and in the wine industry, arriving in San Sebastián in 2011. The brewery was established with a specific ambition: to produce beer that matched the culinary standards the Basque region is known for. Basqueland has since grown into one of the leading independent craft producers in Spain, building its reputation on hop-forward styles and a programme of collaborations with breweries across Europe and beyond.

In 2023 the brewery launched its first alcohol-free beers under the Hero name. The AF range covers hazy IPA and West Coast IPA styles, both carrying the comic-book-inspired label artwork that runs across Basqueland's visual identity. The Hero beers are distributed through specialist alcohol-free retailers, placing them at the premium end of the AF market. For sober-curious drinkers who want genuine craft IPA character, the Hero range brings the same hop-led identity that defines Basqueland's wider portfolio into the alcohol-free category.
