Best Day Brewing

Best Day Brewing is an alcohol-free craft beer brand based in Sausalito, California, founded in 2022 by Tate Huffard and Mike Sheehan. Huffard, who serves as CEO, started the brewery after finding that craft beers did not fit with his morning surf sessions, with the aim of producing great-tasting beer with no alcohol and a genuine lifestyle story. Ron Lindenbusch leads brewing, with production running from a third-party facility.

The beers go through complete fermentation at full strength, then the alcohol is removed using membranes, a process that keeps the liquid below fermentation temperature throughout. The finished products are legally categorised as non-alcoholic in the United States.

The range covers craft lagers, IPAs and kölsch styles, aimed at active and health-conscious drinkers. One of the brand's drinks has won awards. A direct subscription service and beer-related merchandise are also available.

Best Day Brewing has grown quickly since its 2022 launch. The brand claims to be the fastest-growing craft alcohol-free beer brand in the United States and is now distributed across 35 states. In 2024, the company secured $22.5 million in funding, with investors including JLo Capital Ventures and Van Wickle Ventures, bringing total funding raised to $27.95 million.

Environmental commitments run alongside commercial expansion. Best Day Brewing has been a member of the 1% For The Planet movement since opening, donating at least 1% of yearly sales to environmental nonprofits. It also partners with The Conservation Alliance, directing 100% of profits from one of its beers to the organisation. A partnership with Alaska Airlines extends its reach into travel retail.
