Brew York

The brewery operates within the historic city walls of York and has grown substantially since its founding, expanding in 2021 with a second production facility at Handley Park that increased annual capacity from 800,000 litres to nearly 4 million litres. Brew York operates taprooms and bars across Yorkshire, including multiple sites in York, Pocklington, and Leeds. The brand remains independently owned by its original founders.

Brew York is well known across the craft beer scene for pun-heavy naming conventions and vibrant, pop-culture-inspired can artwork, an aesthetic that carries through to the State of Mind AF series without dilution. The alcohol-free range was built to match the flavour ambition of the core craft lineup: West Coast IPAs, session IPAs, and hop-forward pale ales, produced with the same approach to hop character and body as the full-strength output. The State of Mind series sits in the premium craft AF bracket.

Distribution is multi-channel: Brew York sells direct through its own webshop, operates taprooms and bars across Yorkshire, and reaches broader audiences through specialist alcohol-free retailers and wholesale partners. The State of Mind series has built a following among sober-curious craft beer drinkers who prioritise hop character and brewery provenance, with the independent scale and consistent aesthetic giving the AF range a credibility that carries across from the full-strength side of the catalogue.
