Brink
Brink launched in 2024 with a clear brief: take the most iconic classic cocktails and rebuild them from scratch without alcohol. Not diluted versions. Not compromises. Drinks engineered to replicate the full sensory experience of a Negroni or a Margarita, right down to the aroma, colour, and finish.
The brand is the work of Louis Brannan, who incorporated the company in late 2023 and brought the first products to market the following year. Based in Hertfordshire, Brink keeps the range deliberately tight. Two flagship expressions anchor the lineup: a Negroni and a Margarita, both coming in at 0.4% ABV and packaged in 150ml cans that are immediately recognisable. The packaging is produced using a two-stage screen printing process that gives each can a distinctive layered, textured finish. It's an unusual choice for a small brand and a signal of how seriously Brink takes the overall presentation.
The Negroni is the one that got people talking. Dark fruit, citrus peel, and botanical notes with a vermouth-forward character and a dry bitter finish. It won a Great Taste Award in 2024 and picked up a five-star review from The Observer the following year. For a brand barely a year old, that's a strong start. The Margarita follows the same logic: classic flavour profile, rebuilt without alcohol, served in a can. Both are vegan, contain no preservatives, and are GMO-free.
Alongside the flagship range, Brink has started exploring limited editions through creative collaborations. A release with artist Josh Aiyenuro showed the brand is thinking beyond just the liquid and into the broader culture around AF drinking. It's the kind of move that suggests an ambition to build something with longevity rather than just ride the current wave of interest in the category.
At 150ml per can, the serve sizes mirror what you'd get from a classic cocktail tin. Both are best served chilled or over ice, with a garnish. They work well as a standalone drink or as a contribution to a table where some people are drinking alcohol and some aren't.
Distribution is still developing. Brink is available direct from the website and through a handful of specialist independent retailers. It hasn't made the jump to supermarket shelves yet, which keeps it in the premium bracket for now. That may change, but the current positioning suits the product well.
