Brooklyn Brewery is a New York craft brewery, founded in Williamsburg in 1988 by Steve Hindy and his neighbour Tom Potter, and the biggest exporter of American-style craft beer, with 40% of its output sold overseas. The brewery operates from 79 N. 11th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with brewmaster Garrett Oliver leading the brewing programme. Its range covers both alcoholic and alcohol-free beers.

Hindy came to brewing while based in the Middle East as a correspondent for Associated Press. The brewery was inspired by home-brewed beers made by American diplomats in Saudi Arabia. In 2019, Brooklyn Brewery launched its first alcohol-free beers, using a specially developed fermentation method that limits alcohol creation during the brewing process. The aim was to preserve the flavour of the beers for drinkers who are cutting back on alcohol.

The alcohol-free range spans lagers and IPAs and is positioned for sober-curious drinkers, with one drink in the range having picked up awards. Brooklyn Brewery is known for supporting nonprofit and arts organisations in New York City and around the world, including a 2017 partnership with The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative through which a dedicated beer was created.

The brewery also offers an online beer personality matchmaker quiz, and its beers are stocked through mainstream and specialist retail channels across multiple international markets.
