Bunta

The name is a nod to Banta, the traditional Indian lemon soda historically sold in glass bottles sealed with a marble. Bunta takes that cultural touchstone and applies it to a brewed lager format. Aman and Gagan, two friends and former colleagues, built the brand around a specific culinary gap: a sophisticated AF lager to complement the bold, spicy character of Indian food, a pairing they felt the alcohol-free category had overlooked.

Bunta beers are brewed and then lagered for 6 weeks. Lagering is a cold-conditioning stage in which the beer rests at low temperature, developing a cleaner, smoother finish. The brand is a small-scale independent startup, producing citrus and botanical lagers distributed through specialist alcohol-free retailers.

Bunta targets sober-curious drinkers and South Asian food enthusiasts who want an AF lager with genuine culinary roots.
