CISK
CISK is a Maltese lager brand that has been brewed since 1929, when the Malta Export Brewery first produced it under licence to make Bavarian-style lagers.
The brand's name comes from Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna, a Maltese nobleman affectionately known by the nickname "Iċ-Cisk". The first bottle was sold at the local feast of Ħamrun in the summer of 1929. CISK is today produced by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc and forms part of the Farsons lager range; its brewery is located at Mriehel in Malta. The lineup spans lagers and pilsners brewed with all-natural ingredients, and the brand has produced variants made with soy as well as beers developed for the Italian market.
In 2021, CISK extended its range with an alcohol-free lager, giving sober-curious drinkers and designated drivers an AF version of the Maltese lager. The brand is available through multiple retail channels across a broad distribution footprint.
