Deya
DEYA Brewing Company is an independent brewery founded in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 2015 by Theo Freyne, who set out to reproduce the American craft brewing model in the UK after becoming obsessed with American beer culture. Alongside its alcoholic range, DEYA produces alcohol-free beers built around the same house philosophy.
That founding philosophy centres on a distinctive style: pale ales, IPAs and lagers that are soft, juicy and extremely hoppy. The range also stretches into traditional UK styles and mixed fermentation ales. All beers leave the brewery unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised, and reach drinkers via keg and cans, with occasional cask releases.
DEYA is based in the Cotswolds and has expanded its Cheltenham site to 25,000 sq ft, with a bespoke 40-hectolitre four-vessel brewhouse. The brewery is powered entirely by hydro and wind energy and holds Zero to Landfill status. A taproom at the site stocks beers available only on the premises.
The alcohol-free range is available through multiple channels and suits those reducing their alcohol intake who want the hop-forward character that runs through the brewery's wider output.
