Distillerie Heroult

Distillerie Héroult is a craft distillery in the Hérault, Occitanie, founded by former engineer Jean-Philippe Héroult, producing alcohol-free spirits through hydro-distillation of local organic botanicals.

Jean-Philippe Héroult left his engineering career to establish the distillery in Saint-André-de-Sangonis in the Hérault. The distillery uses a traditional copper pot still for its production and sources botanicals from short supply chains, prioritising organically grown ingredients from within the Occitanie region.

The alcohol-free range is made through hydro-distillation: a process in which botanicals are distilled with water rather than with an alcohol base, concentrating the plants' aromatic compounds into a spirit-style drink with no residual alcohol content. This approach is central to the distillery's dedicated AF range, produced under the L'Insolent label.

Distillerie Héroult appeals to sober-curious drinkers drawn to artisan production with a strong regional identity. Distribution is narrow and specialist, consistent with an independent craft producer working at the quality end of the Hérault.
