Feldschlößchen

Feldschlösschen is a Swiss brewery founded in 1876 in Rheinfelden, in the German-speaking canton of Aargau, and today operates the biggest brewery in Switzerland by production. The name comes from the castle-style building constructed for the original site, which translates as "small castle of the field"; the facility is known as Bierschloss. Theophil Roniger, a brewer, and Mathias Wüthrich, the son of a wealthy farmer, established the business together as a collective partnership called Kollektivgesellschaft Wüthrich & Roniger zum Feldschlösschen, building the brewery alongside the Bözberg railway line.

The brewery converted to a joint-stock company in 1890 and had become the largest beer producer in Switzerland by 1898. Feldschlösschen began producing alcohol-free beverages in the 1970s alongside its core beer range, and one of its alcohol-free drinks has picked up awards. The brewery acquired Cardinal in 1991 and became a division of Carlsberg in 2000.
