Frank Wright Mundy

UK

Frank Wright Mundy makes alcohol-free communion wine, established in 1858, the year its first non-alcoholic communion wine was produced. Frank Wright and Lionel Mundy, concerned about the impact alcohol was having on the nation, decided to produce an unfermented wine for use by churches.

The church leader Rev C H Spurgeon was among those who commended the wine to his peers, and the brand says churches throughout the British Isles have used it for 160 years. Its drinks are grape juices, and the brand says its unfermented wine won a medal.
