Galvanina
Galvanina is an Italian organic soft drinks producer, founded in 1901 near Rimini, with an alcohol-free sparkling range that draws on a namesake mineral spring where ancient Roman baths once stood.
The Galvanina spring sits at 304.8 metres above sea level on the slopes of Paradise Hill near Rimini in Emilia Romagna. Its water has characteristic digestive properties and is microbiologically pure. The brand's coat of arms was designed by Giorgio Vasari and originally belonged to the noble family that once owned the spring. Galvanina began as an artisan activity before becoming the first glass bottling plant for mineral water in the early part of the 20th century, and it remained a fourth-generation family-owned enterprise until Riverside acquired a majority stake in 2019.
Galvanina diversified into soft drinks in the 1980s, developing recipes with fruit juices and natural aromas, and began selling internationally in 1987, initially in America and Canada. The brand is now present in more than 50 countries on five continents and produced approximately 220 million bottles in 2025.
Three production facilities bottle water from the Galvanina, Val di Meti, and San Giuliano springs in glass, PET, and can formats. Ingredients are selected from southern Italy and the Mediterranean Basin, with a focus on natural ingredients, for organic and conventional ranges spanning sparkling waters, soft drinks, mixers, and iced teas. An embossed glass bottle features across the range, with packaging developed in collaboration with the ADI Design Museum. Galvanina published its first sustainability report in 2021.
In 2026, the brand launched a dedicated low-alcohol product line, entering a growing market for alcohol-free options suited to sober-curious consumers.
