Go Brewing
Go Brewing is an alcohol-free and low-alcohol craft brewery based in Naperville, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, founded in 2022 by Joe Chura following a sabbatical and a personal 75-day challenge to stop drinking entirely.
Chura co-founded the brewery with his wife Heather Chura, with Bruce Etzcorn and master brewer James Bigler joining as co-founders. The venture began in a garage in Naperville before opening its brewery, taproom, and online store in early 2023. Go Brewing sold 2,000 barrels of beer in the first quarter of 2023 and has since expanded distribution to Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, reaching over 8,000 retail locations across 31 US states. The brand also ships directly to customers in most US states.
Go Brewing uses traditional beer-making methods and fermentation to produce beers that are naturally low in alcohol. Its range spans IPAs, pilsners, pale ales, and sours. Some beers are brewed with barley, whilst others use certified gluten-free millet and buckwheat. The brewery is also developing future releases incorporating collagen and others combining adaptogens with electrolytes, a direction that suits fitness-focused drinkers looking for functional benefits alongside their drink.
Two of Go Brewing's drinks have picked up awards. Its taproom in Naperville is open Friday through Sunday, and the brand maintains a broad direct-to-consumer shipping footprint across the US.
