Hawkstone
Hawkstone is a Gloucestershire brewer producing lagers, ciders and spirits alongside an alcohol-free line, tracing its roots to Cotswolds Brewing Co, founded in 2005. The brewery is based in Bourton-on-the-Water; its founders, Emma and Rick Keene, set out to focus on lager rather than ale. Its beer and cider are made in the Cotswold hills. The brand was formed through a collaboration between a farmer and a brewer, following a conversation about supplying Diddly Squat, and in 2021 the brewery began collaborating with Jeremy Clarkson on its lager. Clarkson subsequently bought a stake in the business from Emma Keene. In 2024, The Sunday Times ranked Hawkstone among the 100 fastest-growing companies in Britain. Alongside its beer, cider and spirits, Hawkstone's alcohol-free line gives weeknight drinkers a way to moderate without stepping outside the brewery's lager character. The brand runs a membership scheme starting at 12 bottles a month and operates a taproom that opens on Sundays from midday to 6pm, giving visitors a direct route to the range beyond retail listings.
