Kaiserdom
Kaiserdom Specialitäten Brauerei is a Bamberg, Bavaria beer brand founded in 1718, currently the largest of the twelve breweries operating in the city, with an alcohol-free range spanning pilsner, wheat beer, and fruit-mixed styles.
The brewery has been in the Wörner family for over a century. Felix Wörner now manages the business as its fourth generation, continuing a lineage of family stewardship through much of the brand's modern history. Bamberg is a German city historically known for its concentration of regional breweries, and Kaiserdom's scale and longevity within that landscape have made it the city's leading producer by volume.
The 0.0% range is produced using arrested fermentation, a method in which the brewing process is stopped before the alcohol has been produced, rather than brewing at full strength and removing alcohol afterwards. This preserves some of the malt and hop character developed in the early stages of fermentation while keeping the final ABV at zero. Kaiserdom markets its 0.0% beers as isotonic, positioning the range for fitness-focused drinkers as a practical post-activity option.
The 0.0% lineup covers pilsner, wheat beer, and fruit-flavoured styles, with lemon and pink grapefruit variants extending the range beyond straight beer formats. Kaiserdom is perhaps best known internationally for its 1-litre can format, which the brewery describes as its global figurehead. That format, combined with a value price point, underpins the brand's reach through specialist alcohol-free retail channels worldwide.
Kaiserdom exports to more than 65 countries across five continents, with distribution concentrated in specialist alcohol-free retail rather than mainstream supermarkets.
