Lakedown Brewing is an independent, family-run craft brewery founded in 2020 in Burwash, East Sussex, producing both alcoholic and alcohol-free beers from a working farm in the High Weald. The brewery sits on the Lakedown estate, originally established in the 1970s by Roger Daltrey of The Who, and was founded by three brothers-in-law: Jamie Daltrey, Christopher Rule, and Des Murphy. The farm setting in the High Weald gives the brewery a grounding in a specific place that is uncommon for a brand only a few years old.

Lakedown describes its approach as 'modern heritage': drawing on traditional British brewing styles and giving them a contemporary craft treatment. That philosophy applies across both its alcoholic and alcohol-free output. The Sound AF range launched in early 2024 and covers a pilsner, a bitter, and a pale ale, reflecting the breadth of classic British and European beer formats in a compact collection. The range sits as a natural extension of the brewery's core identity rather than a secondary line developed in isolation from the main brewing programme.

Distribution runs through the brewery's own direct-to-consumer online shop and specialist alcohol-free retailers. For sober-curious drinkers looking for craft-quality AF beer with a clear sense of provenance and regional identity, Lakedown offers a grounded alternative to both mainstream own-label products and the more widely distributed independent brands.
