Leader Brewing

Green and his co-founders brought a homebrewing background dating back to the early 2000s and drew directly from the San Diego brewing scene in shaping their approach to alcohol-free craft beer. The brand was founded on the recognition that genuine alcohol-free options were scarce for people with busy, demanding schedules who chose not to drink. To address that gap, the team spent two years researching and experimenting before going to market, consulting with brewmasters and scientists from the craft beer industry throughout the process.

Production was kept entirely in-house on a small 5-barrel brewery, with the team maintaining control over every stage. Leader Brewing positioned itself explicitly as veteran-owned, targeting people with active routines who preferred to keep alcohol out of the picture. One of its drinks picked up an award during its operation.

Leader Brewing shut down on 9 September 2024 and has since closed for online sales.
