Lech is a major Polish lager brand, produced by Kompania Piwowarska and originating from Poznań, which launched its first 0.0% alcohol-free variant in 2007 and has since grown it into one of the broader AF beer ranges among Polish mainstream brewers.

The Poznań brewery, built in the city's Franowo district beginning in 1975, produced its first brew in May 1980. Lech has been part of Kompania Piwowarska, now a subsidiary of Asahi Europe and International, since the early years of Polish brewing consolidation. The brand is one of the biggest lager names in Poland, recognisable by its distinctive green bottle across the full range.

The alcohol-free line, marketed as Lech Free, includes an unflavoured 0.0% lager alongside flavoured variants in lime and mint, pomelo and grapefruit, and pomegranate and acai profiles. That flavour breadth is wider than most comparable European AF lagers, which tend to remain within one or two styles. This range of options makes Lech Free a practical choice for fitness-focused drinkers and designated drivers who want variety rather than a single format.

Brand identity has long been tied to music festivals and sports sponsorship in Poland, and that active-lifestyle positioning carries into how Lech Free is presented: a 0.0% lager suited to any time of day. Outside Poland, Lech Free is available through specialist and online channels rather than broad mainstream supermarket distribution, reflecting its status as an import in international markets. Kompania Piwowarska operates under Asahi's Legacy 2030 sustainability framework, which covers carbon neutrality and water reduction targets across all brands in the group's European portfolio.
