Loch Lomond Brewery
Loch Lomond Brewery is a Scottish craft brewery founded in 2011 by Fiona and Euan MacEachern in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, with an alcohol-free pale ale added to its range in 2022. The brewery began life in the family kitchen before relocating to a dedicated unit in Alexandria, then moving again in 2019 to a purpose-built facility in Dumbarton that expanded weekly production capacity from 5,000 to 30,000 litres. It remains an independent, family-run operation. The brewery draws creative inspiration from the surrounding scenery of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, a landscape that runs through its brand identity from the name outward.
The AF offering centres on a brewed alcohol-free pale ale designed to match the flavour profile of the brewery's flagship pale ale of the same name. Loch Lomond Brewery entered the alcohol-free beer market with the stated aim of creating an AF option that doesn't compromise on flavour relative to its full-strength range. The broader output spans traditional ales, modern IPAs, and stouts, and the AF addition extends that catalogue naturally rather than departing from it. Sober-curious drinkers who want a recognisable Scottish craft-beer character in an AF format have a single, tightly focused option here.
Distribution of the AF product is currently narrow, available through specialist alcohol-free retailers rather than mainstream channels, consistent with the brewery's independent scale.
