Maiden Mill
Maiden Mill is the world's first dedicated alcohol-free cider brand, based in Evercreech, near Shepton Mallet in Somerset, and producing its ciders from locally grown Somerset apples using traditional pressing methods.
Co-founded by Ed Reed, the brand launched as a start-up producing two alcohol-free ciders and has built its entire business around the alcohol-free category. Its name draws on the tradition of pioneers who completed maiden voyages and flights, a parallel to its own standing as the first cider company built solely around alcohol-free production.
Maiden Mill uses traditional cider pressing methods and sources its apples in Somerset. Both ingredients and packaging are supplied from within a 25-mile radius of the Evercreech base, a decision that keeps the brand's carbon footprint low and its supply chain tightly connected to the local landscape.
The range is available through multiple channels, including specialist alcohol-free retailers and the brand's own website, with sober-curious drinkers and those pursuing an alcohol-free lifestyle as the primary audience.
