Mockly

Sedky founded Mockly after stepping away from alcohol and finding that existing AF options lacked the flavour complexity and sophistication he was looking for. Rather than developing recipes in isolation, Sedky partnered with Jesse Carr, a New Orleans mixologist, to create a range of ready-to-drink canned mocktails built around unconventional flavour pairings and layered ingredient combinations. The result is a small, focused range that treats the AF RTD mocktail as a serious drinks format in its own right rather than an afterthought.

Mockly remains an independent, family-owned business based in New Orleans. The brand's roots in Louisiana cocktail culture are deliberate: New Orleans has one of the most established bartending traditions in the United States, and Mockly draws on that heritage to give its AF lineup a credible culinary foundation. The collaboration with a working mixologist at the development stage is central to how the brand positions itself, and the flavour combinations across the range reflect that sensibility: bold, layered, and designed to hold their own as finished drinks. The premium AF RTD market has grown considerably since Mockly's 2020 launch, and the brand's cocktail-culture origins distinguish it from the wave of AF RTDs that followed without the same hospitality grounding.

The range consists of canned ready-to-drink mocktails, available straight from the can or poured over ice. Distribution is primarily direct-to-consumer through the brand's own site, with a developing presence at specialist retailers. Among the sober-curious, Mockly has built a following on the strength of its cocktail-bar credentials and the depth of flavour its mixologist-led development process brings to the canned format.
