O'Hara's

O'Hara's is the flagship beer brand of the Carlow Brewing Company, an independent, family-owned Irish craft brewery established in 1996 in County Carlow, Ireland.

The O'Hara family founded the company in Muine Bheag, a market town in the heart of Ireland's traditional malt-growing region. Carlow Brewing was one of the early craft breweries to take root in Ireland at a time when domestic craft beer barely existed as a category. The company has since built an export base spanning over 25 countries, with its beers brewed using traditional Irish styles and classic ingredients.

O'Hara's entered the alcohol-free space in 2021 with the launch of its first 0.0% IPA, and extended the AF range in 2024 with a nitro stout. The stout is packaged with a nitrogen widget in the can, a small device that releases a fine stream of nitrogen bubbles on opening to create a creamy, draught-style pour in the glass. The brand's AF lineup spans IPAs and stouts, offering fitness-focused drinkers full-flavoured Irish beer styles without the alcohol.

Carlow Brewing remains independently owned and operated by the O'Hara family from its base in County Carlow.
