Patagonia Provisions
Patagonia Provisions is a food and drinks division of Patagonia, Inc., the American outdoor clothing company, founded in 2012 in Sausalito, California. Co-founded by Yvon Chouinard and Birgit Cameron, the brand includes alcohol-free beer in its range and launched its first product, wild salmon, in collaboration with the Wild Fish Conservancy, developing peer-reviewed and published criteria for sustainable wild salmon harvesting as part of that work.
Regenerative agriculture informs sourcing across the portfolio. Patagonia Provisions uses farming methods designed to improve soil health, enhance ecosystems, and sequester carbon. One ingredient it sources is Kernza, a patented perennial grain used across pastas, beers, and crackers. The brand collaborated with Deschutes Brewery to produce an alcohol-free beer using Kernza, and worked separately with Dogfish Head on a nationally distributed Kernza-based lager.
Its broader range extends to drinks including natural wines, sparkling cider, and a canned piquette alongside tinned fish and food products. The tinned mussel, mackerel, and anchovy lines use cans manufactured without BPA, BPF, BPS, BPDm, or BPAF. Patagonia Provisions distributes through outdoor retailers and natural grocers. One of the brand's drinks has picked up an award.
