Robby Bubble
Robby Bubble is a German alcohol-free sparkling drink produced by Schloss Wachenheim and first introduced in 1994, designed specifically for children. The brand is the world's first series of children's alcohol-free champagne, made on the basis of clean, specially prepared water and natural fruit juices. Packaging features bright illustrations of children's cartoons.
From its origins in Germany, Robby Bubble has grown into an international product. The range spans 16 fruit-flavoured varieties, each with a pleasant fruit taste, and the brand is now available across four continents and sold in many countries worldwide.
The champagne-format positioning has at times attracted scrutiny beyond its core market. In 2007, the placement of Robby Bubble in certain liquor stores in Alberta, Canada prompted a minor public controversy, a reflection of how a children's celebratory drink can be miscategorised within retail environments organised primarily around alcohol.
