Saltaire Brewery

Back to brands

Saltaire Brewery is an independent craft brewery based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, founded in 2006 by Tony Gartland in a converted Victorian powerhouse, with its first alcohol-free beer launched in 2024.

The brewery has brewed from the same Shipley site since it was established, working in a building that dates to the Victorian era. In 2018, the company undertook a significant brand refresh alongside a multi-million pound expansion of its production facilities. Saltaire Brewery describes itself as proudly independent, a position it has maintained across nearly two decades of operation.

The brand entered the alcohol-free category in 2024 with the launch of its first AF pale ale, a crisp and refreshing style designed for weeknight drinkers who want a familiar pale ale format without the alcohol. That single launch marks the beginning of Saltaire Brewery's engagement with the AF space, making it a relatively recent arrival in the category.
