Simsseer Braumanufaktur

The brewery takes its name from the Simssee, a lake in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps south of Rosenheim, and the connection to its local landscape is central to its identity. Simsseer brews with hops from the Hallertau, Germany's largest hop-growing region and the source of many of Bavaria's most recognisable lager hop varieties. This commitment to regional raw materials extends to how the brewery positions its distribution: local, community-focused, and grounded in a sense of place rather than national or export ambition.

The core range covers classic Bavarian styles including Helles and Weissbier, with AF versions available for fitness-focused drinkers who want the character of a well-made Bavarian beer without the alcohol. As a small craft operation serving the Rosenheim area, Simsseer offers a narrower distribution footprint than the larger regional breweries of Bavaria, but a more defined local identity in return.
