Terps & Co

Terps & Co is a New Zealand alcohol-free botanical spirits brand that created the world's first non-alcoholic terpene spirits, founded by James Crow, Arjun Narayanan and Arjun Bhargava following a Christmas party conversation.

The brand's drinks are formulated with REALTERPENES™, a blend of 100% botanical terpenes. Terpenes are aromatic compounds found across a wide range of plant species; Terps & Co uses them as the primary botanical ingredient in its alcohol-free range. Each spirit draws on a blend of 40 terpenes, including pinene, a compound naturally occurring in conifers and many herb species. The spirits are designed to be used in the same way as regular alcoholic spirits, fitting into serve occasions and cocktail formats without adjustment. Terps & Co describes its range as botanical drinks for mental reset, positioning terpenes not purely as flavour carriers but as the active component behind how its drinks affect the drinker.

Beyond its spirits, the brand produces sodas and RTD formats. As a plant-based beverage company, its products contain no animal-derived ingredients. The company participated in the Sprout 2022 Accelerator Cohort VIII, and TERPS-COMPANY LIMITED, the legal entity behind the brand, had its incorporation filed in April 2025. One of its drinks has won awards. The founders have been in discussions with partners in Australia, with distribution beyond New Zealand's home market in prospect.
