Two Roads Brewing

The brewery operates on two levels: building its own brand whilst simultaneously serving as one of the country's leading contract manufacturers, producing beer for other craft breweries using the same facilities and expertise. In 2019 the company opened Area Two Experimental Brewing, a $15 million facility dedicated to sour beers, barrel-ageing, and alternative fermentation methods, giving the brand a distinct experimental arm alongside its core production.

Two Roads entered the AF category in 2021. The AF beers are produced through dealcoholisation using vacuum distillation, a method that removes alcohol at reduced pressure. Reducing the pressure lowers the boiling point and protects the aromatic compounds that would otherwise be driven off by the heat of conventional alcohol removal, resulting in a beer brewed at full strength then stripped of its alcohol with minimal loss to flavour.

The AF range suits fitness-focused drinkers who want a craft-quality beer without alcohol, from a brewery with serious production credentials in both mainstream and experimental categories.
