Untitled Art

Founded in December 2016 by Levi Funk and Isaac Showaki in Waunakee, Wisconsin, the brewery began as an experimental side-project focused on bringing new beer styles to a local market where they were hard to find. The brewery was the first in Wisconsin to brew a hazy IPA, driven by Funk's frustration with the state's beer market at the time. The name and logo were designed deliberately to counter the hype-driven branding common in craft beer; the packaging instead carries original artist-made artwork on each release. The first batch was self-distributed by renting U-Haul trucks.

The brewery releases a selection of limited beverages each month and had produced over 177 different releases in fewer than five years. Its output spans IPAs, fruited sours, pastry stouts, smoothie seltzers, and hard seltzers made with real fruit juice, the seltzer line using a high-pressure membrane filter and a tunnel pasteuriser. Alongside those, Untitled Art launched alcohol-free beers in 2020 and also produces a CBD sparkling water that is sugar-free and 0% ABV. The brand now distributes to roughly 23 states and into Europe, and its team has grown to around 15 people.

The alcohol-free range is available through specialist retailers, while the broader portfolio has a retail presence across a large number of US states and in European markets.
