Vilarnau is a cava winery based in San Sadurní d'Anoia, near Barcelona, in the Penedès region of Catalonia, that has produced cava since 1949 and now includes an alcohol-free sparkling wine range. The name derives from the Latin "Vila Arnau", meaning the Arnau family's country house, and the estate's vineyards were already cultivated in the 12th century. Albert de Vilarnau extended the family's influence in the 14th century, and the first cava bearing the Vilarnau name was created in 1949. In 1982, the winery joined the González Byass family of wineries.

The 20-hectare estate sits at 250 metres above sea level, with its vineyards shielded by the Montserrat Mountains to the north and the Littoral range to the south. The alluvial soil, formed of layers of lime and clay, supports varieties including Macabeo, Parellada, Xarel-lo, Garnacha, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Vilarnau was the first in the area to plant Pinot Noir, and the winery is committed to preserving lesser-known local grapes such as Trepat and Subirat Parent. Grapes are harvested at night. Cavas are made using the traditional bottle fermentation method.

In October 2005, a new winery building opened at the centre of the estate, designed by architect Luis González with an interior by artist Antonio Miró. The winery uses a biomass boiler for energy and irrigates its vineyards from a rainwater-filled lake.

The alcohol-free sparkling wines were developed by winemaker Eva Plazas and represent Vilarnau's first organic zero-alcohol sparkling wines. They are dealcoholised, meaning produced at full strength and then the alcohol removed, using innovative technology. One of its alcohol-free drinks has picked up an award.
