About This Drink
Butcombe's Goram Zero is their AF take on the Goram IPA line, which sits at the more traditional end of the West Country brewery's range. Named after the giant of local legend said to have carved out the Avon Gorge, it's a hop-forward IPA that takes a punchy multi-origin hop blend and runs it through a low-ABV base. The hop combination — English, US and New Zealand varieties — gives a good spread of character: English hops provide earthy, slightly resinous backbone, American hops push tropical and citrus, and New Zealand hops add stone fruit and a distinctive aromatic lift. The result is more layered than single-origin IPA attempts often manage. The malt base is light and biscuity enough to stay out of the way. At 22 calories per 100ml it's light for an IPA. Vegan-friendly. Not gluten-free — brewed with barley malt and wheat. Available in 440ml cans and 500ml bottles. It's one of the better AF IPAs from a traditional regional brewery.
