About This Drink
The ICE Edition is JP Chenet's most playful format — it's built for ice, which immediately sets it apart from wines that collapse when chilled too hard. The base is dealcoholised Chardonnay from Spain, blended with rectified concentrated grape must and natural flavouring to build back some of the body that alcohol removal takes away. Pour it over ice and it delivers fresh citrus and light fruit — lemon and green apple, faintly tropical — with lively carbonation that holds up better in a long glass than most sparkling AF wines manage. The finish is clean and relatively brief. It's not trying to be Champagne. It's closer to a sparkling soft drink with wine DNA, and on its own terms that's a reasonable proposition — particularly if you're serving guests who want something that looks festive without the complications.
