Polish Hops NEIPA
A hazy, alcohol-free NEIPA from Polish craft brewery ReCraft, showcasing native Zibi and Amora Preta hops for a juicy, tropical character.
About This Drink
ReCraft's Polish Hops NEIPA is built around two distinctly Polish hop varieties — Zibi and Amora Preta — supplemented with Magnum for bittering, and brewed on a grain bill of Pilsner malt, wheat, oats, and wheat flakes. That combination of adjuncts is what gives a NEIPA its characteristically soft, pillowy body, and it translates reasonably well into the alcohol-free format. The haze is genuine rather than cosmetic. In the glass it pours the kind of opaque, straw-to-golden colour you would expect from the style. The nose leads with mango and citrus zest, and there is a herbal pine quality underneath from the Zibi. On the palate the tropical fruit note holds up, grapefruit comes through in the mid-palate, and the oat softens the bitterness considerably. The finish is smooth and gently dry. For a brewery making this in Poland specifically to showcase domestic hops in the AF space, it is a coherent effort. Available in 500ml cans, vegan confirmed, with sugar under 2.5g per 100ml.
