About This Drink
JumpShip have built their range on controlled fermentation rather than stripping alcohol out after the fact, and the Dazzle Ship Galaxy IPA is their most assertive beer. Galaxy hops dominate: the aroma lands somewhere between ripe mango and mandarin, with a pithy citrus edge that keeps it from going too sweet. The body is smooth and soft, with a bitterness that lingers without turning harsh. At 440ml per can, it's a proper serving — not the shrunken format some AF breweries default to. The result drinks well enough to sit alongside alcoholic IPAs in a blind tasting, which is exactly what the brewery claims and, based on the flavour profile, is plausible. JumpShip brew in Scotland using Scottish soft water, and the whole range is vegan and gluten-free. The Galaxy IPA is their hoppiest expression, and it shows.
