About This Drink
Not a generic lager in M&S clothing but an import: this 0.5% beer is brewed by Litovel, a Czech brewery that has been operating in Moravia since 1893 and produces a conventional range of pilsner-style lagers alongside its low-alcohol output. That context matters — this is made by people who know Czech lager, not a contract job ticking a box. The flavour profile is what you'd expect: malt-forward with the slightly sweet, slightly bready character of Czech pilsner malt, and a clean bitterness from traditional hops. The sugar content is 2.1g per 100ml, which is higher than some AF beers — partly down to the glucose-fructose syrup in the recipe, which is unusual and worth knowing about. It's full-flavoured for 0.5%. At 22 kcal per 100ml and confirmed vegan-friendly, it's a competent, imported option that most supermarket own-label AF lagers cannot match for authenticity. Contains gluten from the malted barley.
