Pink Grapefruit
A ready-to-drink non-alcoholic spritz in a 250ml can, built around pink grapefruit concentrate and agave syrup with a bitter-citrus finish.
About This Drink
Citizen Spritz launched their RTD can range in 2024, aiming to fill the gap between boring soft drinks and alcohol-free wine. The Pink Grapefruit version anchors itself around 16% pink grapefruit juice concentrate and a small amount of grape juice, which gives it a fruity base before the acidity regulators step in to sharpen everything up. The result is more bitter-citrus than sweet — grapefruit bitterness sits at the front, the agave adds a touch of roundness without going cloying, and the xanthan gum gives it a slightly more substantial mouthfeel than sparkling water. It's genuinely spritz-like in character. At £2.50 a can it's positioned as an everyday grab-and-go option, and the 250ml format suits that well. Not as complex as a proper aperitivo, but solid for what it is.
